REILLE-TAILLEFERT Geneviève
A word onBorn on 1st August 1956 in Arthès, France, Geneviève Reille-Taillefert is a Luxembourg artist with an unusual background. After 10 years at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, she specialized in monumental art through the fresco. In 1983 she became a renowned art restorer and published in 2010 at Eyrolles her book "Conservation- restoration of murals: from Antiquity to the present day ».The characteristic of Geneviève Reille-Taillefert's work is the study of movement in its depth and its space: How it is anchored in its environment and remains suspended well after the action.
"All my work is based on the representation of these suspended moments, arabesques, horses and dances, crowds and struggles, in a few brush or pastel strokes, following the dynamic of the movement, which is a sign of life. The movement, as it is a series of moments, becomes at the same time a space-time which leads us to the fourth dimension, so dear to Marcel Duchamp."
